Pomona – Cae

Today is my Rez day, yup I’ve been in SL for the big SIX now. I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad about that.

But anyhow.. Caelan Hancroft of Cae has made this beautiful set called Pomona which is pictured above. The set comes in several different metals and I’m showing it in the Gold. Entangled

So the jewelry that I’m wearing today is another set from Ms. Caelan Hancroft of Cae, located in Truth District. This set is a mesh set called Entangled and its just beautiful. You can change between many different types of metals effortlessly by clicking on all of the pieces or just one. I am also wearing a brand new hair from Truth, and this beautiful dress from Baiastice that is available at Fair, opening today. My skin is Saga from LAQ.

The pose in the first photo is from Focus poses, and the second is from Olive Juice. I also just wanted to remind you of Caelan Hancroft’s opening party today at 5-7SLT PM at Truth District. There is also a free gift if you join Cae’s group in the notices… so do come and see about that!

Cae’s – Grand Opening 11/17/12

One of the best, and most sweetest girls that I know on the grid is opening her store tomorrow which will be located in Truth District. I’ve seen this girl go from wanting to learn how to make things, to actually making them, and by each shared screen cap I’ve grown prouder and prouder of one of my dearest friends, Caelan Hancroft making her mesh dreams into reality.

Her new jewelry store – Cae, featuring handcrafted mesh jewelry is set for its grand opening tomorrow with a party. DJ Cajsa Lilliehook will be there tomorrow too spinning music from 5slt to 7slt p.m. Her new line has six brand new sets of fabulous mesh jewelry. The one that I am wearing in this post is called “Knotted”.

Archie Appeal Funding Raising Event @ Truth District

I went and checked out the Archie Appeal Event for Gospel Voom’s Beloved cat Archibald. There are many designers showing support with items being sold to benefit Archie’s treatment which will easily get up into five figures.. and if you have ever had a pet that you just loved so much you know that this is a nightmare.

If we could all pull together a little right now for Gos and Archie as a community to support a Pet and Pet Owner that has come to mean so much to the SL community any little bit would help. There are even donation kiosks’s available at the event.

For my post I am wearing.. not much.. because the Entire Gos store on the Truth District sim is half off.. and you if you are going to go naked you may as well be in Gos shoes. The stacked poses that I am using are from oOoStudios and they have several different poses in them and the prop is mesh and very easy to adjust.

I had a lot of fun with these poses. The other designers who are also taking part in this event are: !bang, .emm, *elymode*, A.D.D. Andel, bent!, wetcat, Eclat, Embody, exposeur, Gos, ooo studios, picture this!, Prime, Somnia, and Status. I believe more may be added.

“Starting today and running through Sept 2nd, a fundraising event is being held at the Truth District sim to raise monies for Archibald. “Archie” is the cat of Gospel Voom, creator of Gos. He was hit by a car last Saturday night and miraculously survived and found his way home, but he was in bad shape. He is being treated for his massive head and facial injuries, and as you can imagine, the surgeries and veterinary costs have already been and will continue to be astronomical – into the 5 digits!

Truth District and several talented friends from across the grid have come together in support by volunteering their creations as donations to help pay for these expenses. Most of the items are 100% donation, and the entire Gos store (on the Truth District sim) is 50% off. Anyone that has ever had a pet knows how they are more than just an animal, but are instead a member of the family. If you feel so inclined to help this cause, head on over to Truth District today.”

And rumor has it that Truth District is having another half off sale. You can get this mesh dress at the Truth District Location of Aura’s for half off right now! There are also many other designers participating and this sale and it last for a whole week! So make sure you get over there and shop while you are picking out some awesome deals.

Also. Dressing room blue has this kick ass hair from Exile on sale for like 60 or 70 Linden and it comes in four colors. Illusory has this skin their too that is a steal at 70… I love love love the red lips. The accessories are from Zaara. Mesh Eyes from Mayfly. I think that’s all.. get shopping.

Truth District Fall event ending soon…..

Less than two hours to go of the Truth District super sale where designers have put items out for half off. This is one of the things that you can get for half off.. it’s the Mudhoney Castor sofa.. and it’s beautiful. It’ has Couple poses, friend poses and single poses and with fall to neutral colors it would look great in your house.. you know in the corner it would fit perfectly where you are not sure just what to put there… hmmmm go grab it now and take a look at the other deals.. less than two hours to go!

Also you have to be in the group to get in.. don’t you remember me telling you to join it a few days ago when it was free? It costs to get in now but it’s still worth it.. after all Truth hair for 125L? Curio skin for 500L? Get over there now!

October is breast cancer awareness month….

The month of October is Breast Cancer awareness month and I’d like to say.. ladies do yourself a favor if you have not done so already and get educated. One of the nicest and all around helpful sites I found to look at was the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. That may be a good place to start.. and make sure you look at the part on self exams.

Getting regular screening tests is the best way for women to lower their risk of dying from breast cancer. Screening tests can find breast cancer early, when it’s most treatable. I feel like I should know more about this but there is so much that I really don’t know. Here is a good start. Say yes to your breasts!

What am I wearing? Not much. But really if you must know… Truth District is having this sale where.. this wonderful skin from PXL by Hart Larson is half off for the rest of today until the tenth of October. You have to be in the Truth District group to get on the sim so I hope you took my advice and joined yesterday for all of the sale type of goodness. This hair is not half off but it is brand new from Truth and named after the lovely Magenta. My poses are from /Geez/. Also, these panties from Boom are four to a set for 88L for this months Collabor88 which looks fucking fantastic already and I can’t wait to dig into. 🙂

The Truth District Fall Sale!

This weekend there is a special event going on at the Truth District.. as in most of the fantabulous designers at the Truth District are taking select items and marking them 50% off for you, how great is that?!? BUT, there is a catch. You must join the Truth District in world group by tonight 12 SLT to avoid paying a fee to be in the group because this weekend (October 8th – October 10th) for the sale the Truth District sim is Truth District group only access.

What I’ve seen so far are offerings from Curio.. there is a special Curio fall skin as shown in the photo above in four different tones for a very special price. This brand new hair from Truth will also be half off in all colors and ladies.. it has ROOTS!!

This dress form MichaMi. Jewelry from League and this brand new Storm boots from Gos in purple with the cutest toes and one of the easiest skin matching systems I’ve seen. Not to mention tons of other things I will try to blog this weekend. The point of this is..You are going to want to be in that group by tonight to avoid paying the group join fee and assure yourself a spot in line. This sale is going to be huge.. like the day after Thanksgiving Huge.. but for SL!!

Bubblegum Weekend!

Welcome to a wonderful weekend of exciting new releases. First we have this lovely style from Wasabi Pills at hairfair called “Mochi”. If you can get through the lag, good for you! I do not know why they do not have slurl teleporting as it would be so much easier to just be able to get the slurl of the place that you want to go to instead of having to wait for a map to rez and wade through the lag. Maybe as the days go on though it will be easier to move around there.

The baby-doll dress and bunny ears from Honey Kitty can be found at the Twinkle Night Bizarre Which is a totally cute and totally cheap little festival!! The pea pod pal in my mouth made by Illusory is from the community thrift and trade fair which has many cheap and adorable gachas and even some gently used items for sale from your fellow second lifers.

Last but not least, as said in my previous post.. the Truth District has opened this weekend and Curio has this very generous gift skin out right now until July 5th so you still have plenty of time. Make sure you join the Truth District group and world and also visit before the 5th as many stores have wonderful gifts.

The Truth District

I know that I said that I would not be blogging much but I could not pass up the opportunity to check out the brand new Truth District which opens tomorrow brought to you by Truth Hawks of Truth hair.

Looking around, Cory Edo the builder did a great job giving it the feel of a sleepy little seaside town. There were many of the stores that I love and easily accessible in the layout as well as being virtually lag free to me as I walked around and took photos and I did switch viewers three times.

But best of all!!!! Join the Truth District group and then run over there when it opens and grab some nice gifts as well as some new Truth Hair Releases and a free one is all colors for the opening. The opening gifts will be out until July 5th.
