Happy Holidays!

holiday

Greetings!
This outfit was gifted to my by Sophia Harlow (You can check out her blog here: http://sophharlow06.blogspot.com/) and is from Zenith as a playable gacha at
Kustom 9. She said that this outfit was me, and well it just is. She’s very smart and I’m super thankful for her love and friendship.

If I were to make a holiday greeting card in SL this year, I think this would be it, so why not? This year has been a hard one but I still have many things and people to be thankful for. Here’s to wishing everyone a much better year of happiness and joyful moments with loved ones.

It’s always better when we’re together

bestandme

A little back story, Sophia and I both took a photo in this dress separately wearing exactly what we have on in the photo. We were not happy with the photos that we took. So we decided to take them together and after a bit of messing around with the poses I think this photo came out perfect.

“There is no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard
No song that I could sing, but I can try for your heart
Our dreams, and they are made out of real things
Like a, shoebox of photographs
With sepia-toned loving
Love is the answer,
At least for most of the questions in my heart
Like why are we here? And where do we go?
And how come it’s so hard?
It’s not always easy and
Sometimes life can be deceiving
I’ll tell you one thing, it’s always better when we’re together.”

Better Together – Jack Johnson

I’m always happy to be around Sophia, she’s my best friend and she inspires me, encourages, me and just gets me. She just speaks my language and that’s hard for even me to understand but she does and that means a lot to me. I just want to say how much I appreciate her and our friendship.

Connections here can be few and far between and come and go as fast as they came but I couldn’t imagine my days without talking to her whether if it’s a bit of chat or trolling in world or our on going conversations on skype. Thank you for being so amazing, always. You and me = Por Vida.

Happy as a girl that lives in a world of make-believe

collage

My lovely friend Sophia Harlow and I did a few photos with the Chapter Four Gacha Stuff from Glam Affair’s Sweets Gacha. I love food Gacha’s and this one has many things that you can win (my favorite being the Tiramisu) for you to have your own sweets party. The Chapter Four opened today and there are some amazing Gacha’s there.

We are wearing dresses from Katatonik, and Sophia’s hair is from Tableau Vivant. My hair is from Wasabi Pills and the dining set is made by Anya Ohmai.

Blame it on Sophia Harlow

year

Today on plurk, my faux Second Life wifey Sophia Harlow dared me to take a picture of myself in a system skin and blog it.. so I am. I picked the Ruth skin.. I think it’s very vintage /slash/ burnt toast esq.

I put a few of my regular layers on and this lovely new hair from Magika (that she gifted me today) and here we go.. Ain’t I just beautiful?

I also did this picture for Strawberry Singh’s newest Meme that you can read all about here: http://strawberrysingh.com/2015/01/05/second-life-yearbook-smile-challenge/ I sorta mad it into a quick little Yearbook photo. I was having a very bad face day that day!

Yesterday, as luck would have it.. Sophia Harlow over at Sacred Fashion sent me an IM and asked if I wanted to pose with her in these new Pixicat dresses that would be coming to Collabor88 tomorrow November the eighth. I was delighted! Because not only am I looking forward to this new round of Collabor88, but I love the chance to pose and take a picture with my beautiful friend.

The Pixicat – Alchemy dresses are great. You can either wear them as a separate skirt and shirt or as a full dress. There are also about 8 color choices. So yeah, I am super excited about this upcoming round. I will show previews as I get them.

I am also wearing hair from Olive, and the Penny skin from Glam Affair which is at the Seasons Story.

There’s a ghost in me

Happy Saturday! I went over to Fameshed this morning and got a few things to wear in a post. I was feeling very autumn like and this coat from Erratic was perfect for my mood. I also picked up a brand new hair from what is quickly becoming one of my favorite hair places – Little Bones, and these boots from Baiastice.

I took this picture at Sophia Harlow’s sim Cherry Waves, and my pose is an old pose from Olive Juice and my tights are from Deetalez.

Have a Spoopy Day!

pumpkin1

The scary pumpkin girl on the left is my beloved friend Sophia Harlow it’s been a long time coming but I finally got a picture in with her and it was so much fun for me this morning scrambling around trying to find things that I hope that we get to do it again soon.

This one is gonna go somewhere on the wall of my pixel home.

But what are we wearing? Collabor88 has some “Spoopy” new things and these dresses from the Secret Store are perfect. There many different colors to chose from. We are also wearing brand new Maitreya Gold shoes at Collabor88 that are slink compatible!

The pumpkin heads and the poses were just random ones on the marketplace and the location is Havenhollow.

Bloggers I’d want to be stranded on a desert island with

Today is my seventh rez day and every now and then I like to do one of these kind of posts cause I think it’s a good time to give kudos to people that you admire now and then.

So what I’m gonna do in no particular order is list some of the bloggers in SL that I think are really cool, if I don’t mention someone I probably still think you are cool!

Cora Pomilio I love the way that she puts together her photos. I think they look really creative and classy.

Oakley Foxtrot Her pictures are breathtaking, cutting edge and unique. She’s got a freshly dark take on fashion and I like it.

Sophia Harlow There is a lot that I can say about Sophia but I’ve loved her blog for a long, long time and it always remains a classic and a go-to for me. She puts the sacred in fashion.

Maci Restless She’s the little miss fashion cupcake and I kind of adore her. She makes many different kinds of looks and sometimes.. I’m just like whoa.. where did you get that?

Sophee Mojo I love the way she puts her stuff together whether it’s fashion or home decor. She has a very nice style about her and I check up on her blog quite a bit!

Primrose Snowfield
Long before I knew her I liked her Second Life name a lot and it fits her blogging style. She is elegant, eclectic, and her photos amazing.

Eve Daines Yep, I had to put a kid blogger on the list. I’m a bit partial to this one as this is my god daughter but if you take a look at her blog and look closely at the photos you will be amazed! She has impeccable decorating and styling for someone so young!

Ziki Quest I love this blogger because she takes excellent shots of Second Life and gives me new ideas of where to go for blog posts and she just does it so well.

Magenta Devinna My beautiful, pink glitterific, super sweet and sexy princess. I’ve kinda always had a little blogger crush on her. I’m not sure what it is but her photos are always super styled and she has a certain magic about her.

and also.. this wouldn’t be a list without mentioning Berry, Luna, Felicity, Grazia, and Gogo.. Your posts, your time that you put into blogging SL, Thank you!

Shoetopia: Your Shoe Heaven in the Clouds

build

In a few day’s Shoetopia will be open access for all.

I wanted to take a few photos of the build and share them. There are two sims and they are in a large circle with two offsets on each sim for the gacha machines, the sponsors in the middle and all the other stores around the circle. I like the layout and design of Shoetopia and it was easy to get around which is important in a fair in Second Life.

I have a copy of the official press release for the event that I’m going to post below. It has more information in it and better put than I could give you:

SHOETOPIA 2013, The long awaited return of the ‘premiere shoe event’ in Second Life is set to open on Friday, November 15th, 2013.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Press Contact: Anessa Stine

November 12, 2013 — Announced way back in January of this year, SHOETOPIA is the reincarnation of the most popular footwear event in Second Life, SHOE FAIR, which has been missing in action since June 2011. Now, almost 10 months since it was announced, SHOETOPIA 2013 is set to open on the 15th of this month with an ethereal build by Artist Rebeca Bashly, that promises to have you in Shoe Heaven! Excited designers and shoe lovers alike, have delighted at the promise of a ‘New Kind of Shoe Fair’, and the anticipation has been building steadily as opening day draws closer.

Conceived by long time Event Coordinators, Business Managers and Second Life Fashion Bloggers, Sophia Harlow and Anessa Stine, SHOETOPIA is their first collaborative effort combining a mutual love of fashion, respect for ingenuity and quality, and desire to create a memorable and special annual event to fill the void in the Second Life event calendar created when SHOE FAIR failed to take place in 2012. Says Sophia, “When the thought dawned on me that there needed to be a footwear event in Second Life again, there was only one person that I approached. Anessa has always been a ‘Shoe Girl’, and her creative vision was the perfect compliment to my detail oriented planning skills and excellent relationships with many SL Creators.” Both Sophia and Anessa are thankful to the many volunteers who are dedicated to making this event a success.

Carrying on the tradition of it predecessor, SHOETOPIA has selected the charity organization Soles4Souls as its ‘Sole’ beneficiary. This is a charity that touches all shoe lovers, an organization that not only supports those in need domestically, in North America, but also those met with disaster around the world. Says Anessa, “An organization that puts shoes on the feet of underprivileged children so they can attend schools, allows domestic abuse victims to have a second chance at entering the workforce in style, creates jobs in the most needy of communities, and uses the slogan ‘every shoe deserves a Second Life’, it could not be a more worthy or appropriate organization to benefit from all of our efforts.” The timing of SHOETOPIA could not be more advantageous to Soles4Souls, already hard at work preparing to assist those affected by the recent storms in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, each participating designer will be offering up an item that will see 100% of its proceeds go directly to Soles4Souls.

With more than 50 of Second Life’s most talented footwear designers, and dozens of incredible contributing gacha designers, there will something for everyone on this stroll through the clouds. Major Sponsors; Slink, Gos Boutique, Just Design and LaRoo, and additional sponsors; ISON, KOSH, lassitude & ennui, House of London, KoiKoi, fri.day, sYs, House of Fox, Glam Affair, G Field, Valiant and ViveNine/Ryvolter, will all be releasing new items at SHOETOPIA, as will each and every one of the participants. Says Anessa, “The response from designers has been so positive, we are overwhelmed by the quality of the footwear at this event.”

SHOETOPIA will be pleased to welcome all of you to visit our slice of ‘Shoe Heaven’ between November 15th and 30th of this year, in what promises to be the first of many ‘Shoetopian’ events to come!
