The Astoria Home from Funky Junk @ the SL Home and Garden Expo

astoria1

This house, the Astoria by Ulaa Coronet is soon to be mine and the girls future home and when I have it all decorated I will do another post featuring this lovely home but as the Expo closes on June the 3rd I wanted to get this first post up!

The Astoria Home is also partial mesh and has four bedrooms, one bath, a utility room, kitchen, dining room, and is only 212 LI. It will be a great home for us, and there are really cute details about the house too and one of my favorite parts of Ulaa’s houses are the balcony, and this particular house has a really cute baby blue and white checkered floor that I like. Also, this house has a really nice uncomplicated floor plan and a lot of room so you don’t feel claustrophobic like I do in some houses. It is nice breezy and perfect for summers and by the water.

You can see this home in world here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%202/78/145/23

Funky Junk – Hillsborough House @ The SL Home and Garden Expo

funkyjunk

These next two posts that I’m going to do because I wanted to break them up are of the new houses that are available from Funky Junk by Ulaa Coronet. The Hillsborough Home is Partial mesh with two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen and dining space with living room.
It is 362 prims.

This home is beautiful, as of all the homes that Ulaa Makes. They are homes that you can really liven up and make yours and you can have a small family in this one too. The only tiny complaint about this house is that I wish it had an extra bedroom so I could move into with my girls right now! The Expo closes on June the third, so you still have some time to check out this beautiful house.

You can check it out here at the SL Home and Garden Expo http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%202/78/145/23

La Galleria @ SL Home and Garden Expo 2013

La Galleria is now on Sim 3 of the Second Life Home and Garden Expo, and I had the pleasure of setting up this lovely build on the sim where I live to take a few photos of it. The San Marino house comes in a large pack that has a few different prim versions of the house ranging from around (300-400) prims depending on the version that you pick. The build is mesh but there is a lot of pretty extras to it and even comes with a huge box for your landscaping, and Pamela Galli includes everything you could need to make this house your own practically.

The house has three bedrooms, a dining area, nook and kitchen as well as a living area and the only thing I missed about this build is it did not have a bathroom but you could easily make the house into a two bedroom home and use one of the bedrooms as a bathroom if you wished. That is more or less a personal preference though, the build is beautiful and opulent and you should go and check it out on Sim 3 of the SL Home and Garden Expo. Her charity items are these really nifty wicker sets.. the table of four even rezzes food! You can check it out here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%203

Tranquil Homes and Two Moon Gardens at the SL Home and Garden Expo

th2m1

It’s that time of year again, where the 6th Annual Second Life Home and Garden festival will soon open up in just two days on May 24th and running until June 3rd 2013. Personally, I’m very excited about the event. I love SL Home and Garden furnishings and the fact that it helps benefit Relay for Life is even better.

th2m2

In my pictures here, I’m showing a sneak preview of two stores that will be at the event. The house is from Tranquil Homes by xLeEx Smythe, and is called the Cloverdale. I think the house is really pretty on the outside and the build does contain mesh so the prim impact is lower, the only tiny complaint I have about the house and this may be just a preference thing is that the ceilings are a bit low for me. But the house does come partially furnished and like I said it’s adorable and you could probably mod the ceiling if you like. This home is ideal for a huge Second Life family as it is very spacious and the rooms have nicely textured walls.

The landscaping that I used in front of the house, I absolutely love because I’m not great at sl landscaping is from Two Moon Gardens also at the expo, I just rezzed and moved it around a bit and no real fuss at all. Amazing! For more info check out the official SL Home and Garden Expo blog here: http://slhomeandgardenexpo.wordpress.com/

Cheeky Pea’s Kitchen @ The Second Life Home and Garden Expo

This year for the Second Life Home and Garden Expo, Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea has worked her heart out. Not only did she make the fabulous Collie Home she also made a brand new Kitchen and Bathroom set. In this post I am showing the brand new Hampton Kitchen which is worth checking out as her exhibit at the Expo shines above and beyond expectations.

Now I snagged this bit of info from her Flickr page for those of you into the primmy important bits:

Hampton Kitchen
Stools – 2 prims ea, corner counter – 27 prims
Jars on counter – 15 Prims, Shelf w/accs – 18 prims,
Extractor hood – 4 prims, fridge w/ contents – 24 prims,
broom cupboard – 3 prims, island – 8 prims

Island has 6 single and 3 couples animations
Sink has 3 animations, range 2 single animations, and counter top 3 single anims
all copy.mod.notrans
MESH

As you can see you can have a beautifully done kitchen without sacrificing any important features with a more than reasonable impact on your land in regards to prims.

I am wearing this beautiful dress from Spright that is available at Culture shock. To wear this dress and make the textures rez you must edit something and then select it and go to the texture tab and wait for it to load. Without doing that I could not load the dress but a friend tipped me off to that secret. My poses in this post are from /Geez/.

What’s Next? @ The SL Home and Garden Expo!

First before I tell you that you must go and visit What Next’s display and sponsored sim at the Second Life Home and Garden expo I want to tell you about !Bang’s Birthday Gacha Cupcakes. For just 22L you can get this cute little cupcake that fits in your mouth and help celebrate the store !Bang’s second year anniversary.

So with all of the home decorating that is in the air, I am inspired me to redecorate my living room with this beautiful set from What Next. The Charlotte Living Room set is all mesh. The expo is filled with creative and beautiful sets but this one stood out to me as a favorite.

The animations in the furniture are many and it’s easy to find a nice sit or to curl up and read a good book or maybe even type on your laptop. What really strikes me is the vivid color and how alive this set looks. There is also a chair and footstool set called the Charlotte Chair & A Half Set with some adorable couple poses.

The house in the background is the Collie house which is new from Cheeky Pea found only at the SL Home and Garden Expo. A post is soon to come.

I am also wearing a VIP gift hair from Elikatira in Never. A brand new dress from coldLogic. Lily skin from Belleza and heels from Pixel Mode.

reBourne @ the SL Home and Garden Expo

The Second Life Home and Garden Expo which is a Relay for Life event opens today May 19th at 6am SLT, and remain open 24 hours each day until it closes on May 28th at 10pm SLT.

I was granted early access to look around and I stopped at the reBourne display and fell in love with a beautiful dome house and tried the best I could to capture it’s beauty.

But you see, this house much like all of the homes by reBourne must be seen in person to really experience. It is a sensory delight. The textures are perfect, there are sounds and for me someone who cannot see shadows in Second Life yet I love the shadows that I can see in the house from the sublime texturing.

If you are looking for a beautiful beach home whether on land or in the sky this would be perfect for you. This house is flawless, you must see it at the expo.

There are 14 sims to explore so if you are in the market for a beautiful new home there are plenty to suit anyone’s taste and budget. It’s just a matter of checking it all out and taking in all the beauty that can be found.
