Funky Junk – Hillsborough House @ The SL Home and Garden Expo

These next two posts that I’m going to do because I wanted to break them up are of the new houses that are available from Funky Junk by Ulaa Coronet. The Hillsborough Home is Partial mesh with two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen and dining space with living room.
It is 362 prims.

This home is beautiful, as of all the homes that Ulaa Makes. They are homes that you can really liven up and make yours and you can have a small family in this one too. The only tiny complaint about this house is that I wish it had an extra bedroom so I could move into with my girls right now! The Expo closes on June the third, so you still have some time to check out this beautiful house.

What’s Next? @ The SL Home and Garden Expo!

First before I tell you that you must go and visit What Next’s display and sponsored sim at the Second Life Home and Garden expo I want to tell you about !Bang’s Birthday Gacha Cupcakes. For just 22L you can get this cute little cupcake that fits in your mouth and help celebrate the store !Bang’s second year anniversary.

So with all of the home decorating that is in the air, I am inspired me to redecorate my living room with this beautiful set from What Next. The Charlotte Living Room set is all mesh. The expo is filled with creative and beautiful sets but this one stood out to me as a favorite.

The animations in the furniture are many and it’s easy to find a nice sit or to curl up and read a good book or maybe even type on your laptop. What really strikes me is the vivid color and how alive this set looks. There is also a chair and footstool set called the Charlotte Chair & A Half Set with some adorable couple poses.

The house in the background is the Collie house which is new from Cheeky Pea found only at the SL Home and Garden Expo. A post is soon to come.

I am also wearing a VIP gift hair from Elikatira in Never. A brand new dress from coldLogic. Lily skin from Belleza and heels from Pixel Mode.

MOOD Travels to Egypt at the Accessories Fair

One of my favorite parts of my Second Life experience is the ability to travel anywhere you’d like virtually. You can also check out the accessories fair here.

When I stepped into the accessories fair I was amazed how beautifully it was put together and very easy to navigate your way around by following the teleport map. Take for instance the set that I am wearing above from MOOD. It is surely an exotic set that speaks of travels far beyond what I’ve ever seen. When you are there please be sure to also check out the RFL items that generous creators are selling to donate proceeds to.

The Daklah ensemble as shown above is lovely and perfectly made. It comes with a hud and many options and you can change the color of the stones and the color of the metal. In this photo I am also wearing the New Turban from Lelutka that is a must have accessory this summer as it is color change.

This other set is the Egiziano Dea Ensemble and it comes with necklace, earrings and some lovely bangles (not shown) I love the look of this set and how every time I am wearing jewelry from MOOD the richness of the textures really stands out and almost looks real. I was not that excited about Second Life jewelry until I found some brands – MOOD being one of them that really won me over. In this photo I am wearing new skin from Laqroki called Mini.

Kittycats at SL Home Garden and Patio Expo!

One of the most amazing things in Second Life is the creativity that goes into each item made and if you visit Home Expo Sim 5 today you will see gigantic kittycats larger than life. Kittycats has generously agreed to sponsor a sim for the expo and it’s full of huge adorable cats (and some of them are even functional)! Also this is just a rumor but in kittycats chats there was an indication that they could be auctioning off some of the huge cats to benefit RFL!

Also if that isn’t exciting enough.. check this out – “The new KittyCat will make its debut at the Home Expo on May 14th. Callie Cline and Equinox Pinion will be presenting the new kitty on the Expo’s Main Stage at 12:30 pm, followed by the launch of a live music concert with Mankind Tracer. This marks the first time that RFL of SL has joined in a partnership of this type and they look forward to the KittyCatS’ presence at Relay Team Events, at the Expo and at Relay weekend, right alongside the Linden Bears.” So yes that means a new kittycat will be joining us soon! I’m excited to find out what it is!

SL Home, Garden and Patio Expo!

I am happy to have a sneak peak at the SL Home, Garden and Patio Expo. There are ten sims chock full of stuff! If you are looking for a list of who is participating go here for a list of who is who and what Home Expo Sim Number they are on.

From the website this is what its about:
“Welcome to the 2011 Home, Garden and Patio Expo!! 2011′s Expo, will open on Friday, May 13th at NOON, and remain open 24 hours each day until it closes on May 22nd at 10pm SLTAs always we have the best of the best in SL home designs!! From Landscaping to Furniture to Homes and everything in between, we have anything you would ever need to set up your dream home in SL!!” Sounds pretty exciting, right?

Another point of interest is that they are raising funds for RFL.. and there are many good items worth purchasing and you can feel good knowing that your lindens are going towards something meaningful. For a full list of the RFL Vendors go here.

Something else that you can look forward to is music, and lots of it! They seem to have DJ’s to well known Second Life Musicians on the main stage. Want a schedule of that? Go here.

What I plan on doing is featuring my favorites in blog posts. I’ve been going around trying to snap good photos. It’s a bit tricky though because there are many sculpty type things. It’s best to go in low graphics and minimal prims.

The Rather Unfairground (A slightly villianous RFL Charity Event)

So my talented and gorgeous wifey Miss Marleen Vaughan was asked to make something for the Rather Unfairgrounds Relay for life charity event going on this weekend.. and the theme is slightly villianous, slightly steampunk and she came up with this fantastically creative item which she named “The Sinister Goggles” for something that is a new project in the works called Vaughans house of curiousities. For 123L you can purchase these goggles and 100 percent of your purchase goes towards helping Relay for Life. I need to go and look around the event more but it looks wicked cool.. I will tell you what is in the notecard and you will have to go check it out for yourself as it only lasts this weekendThe Rather UnFairground
