The Noble Storybook

storybook3

The Noble Storybook, is a sim unlike any other I’ve seen in Second Life. They say that Second Life is “Your world, Your imagination..” But what Aaliyahblossom Resident and her RL and SL partner, VonDutch Sweetwater have created is so much more than just any sim design concept.

As a child I remember these little books that my grandmother would read to me by Beatrix Potter. I loved the covers of the books and the names as well. They were magical to me just as this sim is.

The premise of the sim as taken from the notecard is:
“We tried to create the atmosphere of where she lived, where she wrote, where she created and where many of her tales were situated. You will find her small cottage on the island, the lake, the forest where Peter Rabbit and his siblings adventures took place. And many more figures of Beatrix’s stories.

But also little spots to relax, enjoy the tranquility and take pictures, take a boat to explore the island by water.
You will find the Nobles Cafe near the Beach where frequently poetry evenings will be held, book discussions and live music.”

This is a place that is filled with a loving atmosphere and heart. I’ve never seen a more lovely family than the Noble family in SL who welcomed me with open arms to explore the sim and attend the Easter party that they had last night and even join the family. My SL has felt like it was missing a few pieces but something warm and welcoming touched my spirit yesterday. Vondutch Sweetwater & Aaliyahblossom Resident have created a world here of wonder, this is easily one of my favorite places on the grid.

The Noble Storybook is a magical place indeed.

This place is very friendly to photographers and explorers alike and there is a house that is a bit farther back that is the private home of the family. The rules are pretty simple and if you would like to rez your own props you can contact a sim manager. The Sim Managers are: Poorlemon Resident, Masterpixel Resident, Brie Pinazzo and Maddy Carissa.

I’ve tried my best to catch some good angles to show the beauty of the sim but I worry that my photography skills are lacking to show how resplendent this place really is. The best way to see the Noble Storybook is to visit this sim yourself. To find your own inspirations and dreams here. Maybe you will catch a glimpse of Beatrix herself laying in the tall grass or sipping on a warm cup of tea in the cafe? It really is your world and imagination here, after all.
