Cae – Kasbah for June Fameshed

cae

The Cae – Kasbah set for June Fameshed will be available for purchase on June 1st 2013 at 12:00 A.M SLT. The set is customizable with several different stones to choose from. You can make the entire set one color as I did above or your can group it into two different colors of your choice and you can even select the metal that you would like to use. This set is so pretty to me and intricate with detail, ornate. It comes with two rings, two bracelets, earrings and a necklace.

I am also wearing the new Cleo skin from Glam Affair, with Glam Affair hand appliers for Slink Mesh hands, hair from Exile and my pose is from Exposeur. My eyes are from Ikon.

The Astoria Home from Funky Junk @ the SL Home and Garden Expo

astoria1

This house, the Astoria by Ulaa Coronet is soon to be mine and the girls future home and when I have it all decorated I will do another post featuring this lovely home but as the Expo closes on June the 3rd I wanted to get this first post up!

astoria

The Astoria Home is also partial mesh and has four bedrooms, one bath, a utility room, kitchen, dining room, and is only 212 LI. It will be a great home for us, and there are really cute details about the house too and one of my favorite parts of Ulaa’s houses are the balcony, and this particular house has a really cute baby blue and white checkered floor that I like. Also, this house has a really nice uncomplicated floor plan and a lot of room so you don’t feel claustrophobic like I do in some houses. It is nice breezy and perfect for summers and by the water.

You can see this home in world here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%202/78/145/23

Funky Junk – Hillsborough House @ The SL Home and Garden Expo

funkyjunk

These next two posts that I’m going to do because I wanted to break them up are of the new houses that are available from Funky Junk by Ulaa Coronet. The Hillsborough Home is Partial mesh with two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen and dining space with living room.
It is 362 prims.

This home is beautiful, as of all the homes that Ulaa Makes. They are homes that you can really liven up and make yours and you can have a small family in this one too. The only tiny complaint about this house is that I wish it had an extra bedroom so I could move into with my girls right now! The Expo closes on June the third, so you still have some time to check out this beautiful house.

You can check it out here at the SL Home and Garden Expo http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%202/78/145/23

La Galleria @ SL Home and Garden Expo 2013

galleria

La Galleria is now on Sim 3 of the Second Life Home and Garden Expo, and I had the pleasure of setting up this lovely build on the sim where I live to take a few photos of it. The San Marino house comes in a large pack that has a few different prim versions of the house ranging from around (300-400) prims depending on the version that you pick. The build is mesh but there is a lot of pretty extras to it and even comes with a huge box for your landscaping, and Pamela Galli includes everything you could need to make this house your own practically.

galleria1

The house has three bedrooms, a dining area, nook and kitchen as well as a living area and the only thing I missed about this build is it did not have a bathroom but you could easily make the house into a two bedroom home and use one of the bedrooms as a bathroom if you wished. That is more or less a personal preference though, the build is beautiful and opulent and you should go and check it out on Sim 3 of the SL Home and Garden Expo. Her charity items are these really nifty wicker sets.. the table of four even rezzes food! You can check it out here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%203

Scarlet Creative @ The SL Home and Garden Expo

2 (2)

I’ve been a long time fan of the homes that can be found from Charlotte Bartlett of Scarlet Creative, in fact one of the first house that I bought in Second Life almost five years ago was from Scarlet Creative. I’ve always loved the fresh modern look and creativity that goes into them.

My favorite part of this one, the For Edi Home which can be found right now at the Second Life Home and Garden Expo is the windows, the floor textures, the dreamy indoor pool and the creativity of the house itself.. it looks like an old church that has been renovated and it is gorgeous to see in world. I didn’t double check the prims but when I was looking for more info about Scarlet Creative I found this post: http://scarletcreative.com/2013/05/25/home-expo-open/ on Scarlet Creative’s blog and I really like that she made it for a friend of hers, I think it’s really sweet. Anyhow you should go see this house in world whenever you can at the second sim of the home expo: http://slurl.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%201/134/116/23

standforlove

Happy Saturday, all! I wanted to do a photo for this cool thing that is going on started by Editorial Clarity or RicoRacer Flux. I think that this is my second year in a row that I am participating and it means a lot to me. Stand 4 Love is a small thing that you can do to show your support for your fellow friends, loved ones and even strangers, sending the message to them.. “hey love which ever gender makes you the happiest!”

About Stand 4 Love as taken from the official blog:

Each one of us has the right to liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness. Everyone has the right to love and be loved in return. GAY, LESBIAN, STRAIGHT, TRANSGENDERED or BISEXUAL…..Sexual Orientation or Race shouldn’t Matter. The FREEDOM to LOVE is fundamental as the FREEDOM to BREATHE. Two adults should have the right to love without discrimination and intolerance. Marriage should be available to any loving couple. Let’s end hatred and discrimination now. Stand UP and be counted!!!

STAND 4 LOVE is an awareness charity project to promote the visibility and rights of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Straight loving couples to have the right to marry and be recognized by the law across the world. It will be a picture campaign in Second Life to spread awareness and promote equality and tolerance. Each participant will take a picture of themselves in a plain white or black background then add the Stand4Love Logo. They will then put their message of support as well as their SL name and/or Title/Business (Optional) in the picture. All pictures received will be published here in this blog. It will also be promoted in Stand4Love Facebook page and Flickr group. We will be opening a gallery inworld to display your picture entries for a month. Please Join us.

MudHoney at the Second Life Home and Garden Expo

mudhoney

I really love the beds that Rayvn Hynes of MudHoney made for the Second Life Home and Garden Expo. The Evie Beds have a beautiful peacock headboard and colorful bedding options and they are versatile and can be used by kids, teens and even adults. The beds are also only 15 prims each, and the drawer side tables are only 1 prim!! The dolls are one prim as well and you can change the color of their dresses by clicking them and you can even set who has access to them.

The night stands are in the RFL kiosks. The baby blue, pink and white will be available in one kiosk, and the royal blue, turquoise and red will be available in the other. 100% of the sales from the nightstands will go to RFL.

You can find these items on the second sim of the Home Expo here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/HOME%20EXPO%201/134/116/23

Glam Affair’s – Cleo Skin in the America Tone

cleo

Glam Affair is by far my favorite skin maker on the grid, and I know that is a very strong statement but – well, they just are. I feel like these skins that Aida Ewing makes just fit me. I’ve had a love affair with them for several years now and as they have evolved they keep getting better and better to me. Sure, I like other skins and I wear them from time to time of course but I always come back to Glam Affair.

This newest skin, Cleo is beautiful. I love the mouth, the nose, the eyes.. and all of the options! This skin has a ton of options along with that you can wear and customize to make it really “you”. It comes with three different noses, three different lip gloss options, three different freckle options, two different eyelash tattoo layers to make your eyes just “pop”. I’ve tried a few of them in the photo below – mixing and matching and well they are subtle differences but its fun to play around with them and find the one most “you”. For the eyebrow lovers, the red brows that I am wearing are option “f”. There are five different colors of brow for you to choose between.

PicMonkey Collage

Personally, I like adding all of the freckles on with the regular nose and lip gloss option two. But, if you demo the skin play around.. it’s really a great idea. The skin has twelve different make ups and there really is something for everyone. My favorite ones are the way Glam Affair does the red lips, I also love smokey eyes too on some of them. There are also some make ups that are more bold and fun too.

This skin should be out soon, not exactly sure when but I’d check in the next day or so. You can always join the in world group for Glam Affair to be up on the latest information. To see a different review of the skin, Magenta DeVinna of the blog Not quite pink here: http://www.notquitepink.com/and-along-came-cleo/ did a fantastic job of reviewing it, and in a different tone too!

I am also wearing new hair from Exile (love the new hud), and my sweater is from Erratic and my eyes are from Ikon. My ears are from Mandala.

Tranquil Homes and Two Moon Gardens at the SL Home and Garden Expo

th2m1

It’s that time of year again, where the 6th Annual Second Life Home and Garden festival will soon open up in just two days on May 24th and running until June 3rd 2013. Personally, I’m very excited about the event. I love SL Home and Garden furnishings and the fact that it helps benefit Relay for Life is even better.

th2m2

In my pictures here, I’m showing a sneak preview of two stores that will be at the event. The house is from Tranquil Homes by xLeEx Smythe, and is called the Cloverdale. I think the house is really pretty on the outside and the build does contain mesh so the prim impact is lower, the only tiny complaint I have about the house and this may be just a preference thing is that the ceilings are a bit low for me. But the house does come partially furnished and like I said it’s adorable and you could probably mod the ceiling if you like. This home is ideal for a huge Second Life family as it is very spacious and the rooms have nicely textured walls.

The landscaping that I used in front of the house, I absolutely love because I’m not great at sl landscaping is from Two Moon Gardens also at the expo, I just rezzed and moved it around a bit and no real fuss at all. Amazing! For more info check out the official SL Home and Garden Expo blog here: http://slhomeandgardenexpo.wordpress.com/

Le Grand Gemini

gemini

Last night, the Zodiac launched a new collection into orbit and it is everyone’s favorite “twin” sign of the Zodiac, Gemini!

Some of Gemini’s positive traits include: being adaptable, versatile, enthusiastic, eloquent, witty, and intellectual. While some of Gemini’s Negative qualities include being inconsistent, superficial, indecisive, having lack of focus, and nervous. One of my very best friends is a Gemini and I can see some of this to be true about her.

morning

For this round of Zodiac I am wearing the double intensity shirt from Somnia and the Soliel Moon socks from LouLou & Company. I am also posing with poses from Adorkable and also from the Zodiac this round is this Gemini Arbor from Solange!

I am also wearing new hair from Truth, skin from Glam Affair as well as the hand appliers from Glam Affair for the America tone. The little table and chair set that I used was a generous group gift from The Loft, (no longer available as a gift) truly one of the best SL groups that I’ve been in. Happy Zodiac Month Gemini. maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mint%20Tulip/55/73/22
