Today the grid was blessed with a few new things from Maitreya. I’m showing the new pants and sweater. The pants are a bit low in the front but I was totally comfortable with them. I didn’t feel like they were too low. They are just the right amount, plus you can demo them. The sweater is adorable and it has the cutest sleeves and just a bit of belly for an added sexiness.
I’m also wearing the new Ariel hair from Truth, still loving on the fades pack. This particular color is called “Pumpkin Pie” It’s adorable. My poses are from Purple Poses and you can find them for 100L at the Costume Ball. I took these pictures at Neva Crystals Dune place which I read was open to the public until November 4th, it is amazingly decorated.
“Someone like you
Is not without the contradiction
Someone like me
Who`s a living work of fiction
Someone like you
Full of love and light and laughter
Someone like me
Who can`t see what they`re after
What do you do ?
Someone like you
Who would you be?
With someone like me
What do you do?
Someone like you
Who would you be?
With someone like me”
Someone like you – I am Kloot
It’s late October and Mon Tissu has made the perfect little Wool Trench Coat in 10 different colors and the mesh cotton pants to go with it. It’s lovely and you of course, need it now.
This hair is brand new from Mr. Truth Hawks and it has a bun and the most adorable little side braid. My poses are from Label Motion and my location is at the Inkwell (yet again) The beautiful jewelry that I am wearing is from one of the most brilliant new mesh jewelry creators that when she launches you will just be amazed.. my lovah Caelan Hancroft. My shoes are from Celoe.
The Concerned Bloggers Association is a blog that shares a monthly topic with in a pool of participating bloggers and I’ve been invited to join by my long time friend Marleen Vaughan who is also the founder. If you want to join, you can contact Ms. Vaughan in world and she will hook you up with more info. The topic this month is Literacy which to me is one of the greatest and most treasured gifts that I’ve ever been given.
The ability to read lit my imagination on fire at an early age. I was an early reader. I can’t ever remember not reading something. When I started reading signs in the car it was like a gateway drug to a whole world of books. I remember the earliest books that I fell in love with were written by Judy Blume or E.B White’s Charolotte’s Web. Then it gradually moved on to stuff like Harriet the Spy, The Sweet Valley High Series,The Babysitters Club books to books like Flowers in the Attic.
I went through my phase of trashy romance novels and then when I was in High School there was a Library around the block from me. I spent most of my time in that library curling up and reading in one of the comfy chairs or taking home as many books as I could carry. I read at least 3-4 books a week in those days. I was a reading machine! Then I fell in love and started writing poetry in my teens. I swear, I miss that library now and those librarians, as a lonely girl they were like my soul mates.
Now as an adult, I try to read a couple of books a month. Mostly it’s when I’m waiting at the Doctors or riding the bus. I didn’t lose my love for a good book and will probably never read one on a Kindle or something because to be honest I love the smell of a book and the feel of it’s weight in your hands. A Kindle could never replace that feeling for me. It doesn’t matter how you read though as long as you do read and enjoy it, as for me a good book is the fire to my imagination and I never hope to lose that feeling.
Upon it’s opening yesterday, I visited the Costume Ball and found several great creators have posted items. I am wearing two of the things that I picked up. Dia de los Muertos Mask with hair flowers from Shake up! is the fabulous mask that I am wearing. I love the hair flowers that come with the mask. The mask also has two options, which are both lovely.
I am also wearing the cute lingerie from Deetalez, which unfortunately due to my windlight settings you cannot see very well, but trust me it’s cute!. My hair is newish from Truth. I adore the things that he’s doing with the fades. My favorite so fair is this one (Surf) and (Frappuchino). I’m also wearing mesh thigh high boots from Slink. The bed in the background is from Art Dummy, and it has some really nice poses in it.
I can’t say for sure why, but it seems just yesterday it was the start of the year.. and now we are already knee deep in October with the Zodiac season of Scorpio to take over. Where did this year go? That is kind of how a Scorpio hits you. When you meet them they are the kind to slowly sink into your psyche little by little until bam they are all up in your face and you are stung with allure. Scorpios can be quite unexpected and intoxicating!
Anyhow.. *ahem* I am wearing this glorious new Steph 2 hair from the Alice Project available this round of Zodiac.. with more hair color options than even I know what to do with. I loved how I could change several parts of the hair.
Lassitude and Ennui also had this key necklace for Scorpio which went well with the light blue of this strapless top from Pink Outfitters which comes in two other colors as well. The tattoo that I have on is the Cosaintoir Daingean Tattoo from Collisions which has an intricate back piece to it that is not shown in my post.
I am also wearing these very cute mesh boots from Decoy that have the option of showing the Scorpio symbol or hiding it. The boots are so very cute on. My poses are from Exposeur for this round of Zodiac and are a part of the “She’s Crafty” set.
Not apart of Zodiac but still fabulous that I am wearing is: Skin from Glam Affair. Skirt from Mon Tissu and tights from Izzies. (Also) Just about all my furniture/house in the background is from the Loft.
Another set of very cute make ups from the newer “Ginny” line from Glam Affair has been released Friday.. to perfectly compliment your Halloween look or to make an interesting POP in a dramatic photo or some of these I’d even wear for every day purposes.
I am also wearing a newer jewelry set from Donna Flora, and hair from Exile and a Hair piece from Pididle which are both available at the Attic at the Deck for 95L each.
Glam Affair recently released brand new makeups for the Roza and Ginny line, themed for Halloween – perfect for your dark side. I think these makeups would be perfect for Halloween or dramatic photos. I really love the Roza line and these makeups are great.
I am also wearing brand new hair from Truth in the fades pack (which is my new favorite Truth pack) Rashida. I like the side sweep bangs on this hair and the way it frames the face. The jewelry that I am wearing is new from La Gyo at the Dressing room blue.
How fun is Second Life? Well in Second Life you can dress up and try and be things that you could have never thought possible in Real Life. I saw this Jewelry set from Caroline’s at Cinema and accepted the challenge. I would be one of my favorite movie characters: Ms. Holly Golightly played by Ms. Audrey Hepburn.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s is one of my favorite movies and I thought this Jewelry set from Caroline’s really nailed the jewelry from the famous photo with the black dress and cigarette stem. This Cigarette stem is from Boom and its called the “Golightly” and its available right now only at Cinema along with the set of jewelry. I am also wearing the “Cunt Clutch” from Handverk – also available as a Cinema exclusive.
I am also wearing the brand new (basic) Roza skin from Glam Affair.. which is absolutely gorgeous. My new favorite feature in a Glam Affair skin are the markings just above the butt. The details on the body and the face are lovely. The dress is from Maitreya and the hair is a newish hair from Truth.
“You know what’s wrong with you, Miss Whoever-you-are? You’re chicken, you’ve got no guts. You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say, “Okay, life’s a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that’s the only chance anybody’s got for real happiness.” You call yourself a free spirit, a “wild thing,” and you’re terrified somebody’s gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you’re already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it’s not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somali-land. It’s wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.”
Oh.. my.. gosh! Did you know that Cinema is opening today? I did! Hehe. Seriously though you must go, as its gonna be a totally fabulous event. This pose set in my post is from the lovely and talented Luna Jubilee of !bang. It’s called the Rustic Romance set and its 28 prims and more than just a photography prop it looks really pretty in my yard. It’s really sweet and it’s partial mesh with four poses for couples. You can also turn the candle lights on and off.
The sweater that I’m wearing is from Auxiliary and it too will be available today at the Cinema. It’s a really cute sweater/shirt combo with zombies! It’s a have to have. My hair is new from Exile (not at Cinema) and its called “Your Winter” I love the names that Kavar Cleanslate gives his hairs. I’m also wearing the fantabulous new equestrian boots from Gos which I can’t seem to take off.
And…. thats a wrap.. Make sure you check out Cinema today and tell your friends!
This set from A:S:S for Cinema literally tickled my fancies. Cthulhu’s Longing – A:S:S deLuxe for Cinema 2012 caught my eye with its delicate petals, yet upon closer inspection I realized how erotic it actually is. You can find this lovely set in the XXX section of Cinema starting tomorrow.
My poses in this post are also from Cinema and they are from Adorkable. I love the poses that she makes because they always seem to fit the look that I’m going for. My boots are new from Gos. These equestrian boots are awesome, mesh and come in lots of fall colors. The skin and hair that I am wearing are from FAIR. This skin is from Rozena and is a steal for 250L and the hair is from Wasabi Pills. I’m wearing a Lipstick layer from Pekka to make the skin look a bit more mature.
